Shit la... I have always hated MIA cause they are unfair and bias, today they prove me even more right! Yesterday I post them an email asking them to notify me when the new semester will commence (earlier they said somewhere in June, but didn't heard any news from them until now). Then an old familiar voiced called. It's from MIA (my school, NOT 'missing in action') and an old lady from the registrar (I know her) called this morning. I THOUGHT they called to tell me when the new semester will start, either mid or end of June... BUT!
She told me it will start in AUGUST!!! Shit, so that means I will have to stay at home for another 2 months!?! I asked her isn't it supposed to be one class in June but she said no... WTF?!! Then she told me to come find Mr Yong, a lecturer somewhere in July to do something before the class, which starts in August. Ok... then I asked her to send me a letter on when the new semester will officially starts, and the fees needed for the last sem. She said NO..... WTF?!? She said she will not send a letter anymore cause last time she send a letter, I didn't attend (cause I wasn't prepared then). So she will not send it anymore... WTFH!?!! Then she said when I come to the school in July, I should go to the office and find her then she will tell me how much the fees are, THEN. I was F***ing mad and quickly end the phone call (should have hang up on her rudely earlier, but didn't).
Shit man... how could this happen!? Does the school have the right to NOT send the letter on when and how much to pay for the fees, if they DON'T want to!?!!? No official letter then I don't need to pay la!? F***ing school... last time they was a teacher who give unfair marks depends on how you 'polish' his shoes, or if you are a girl then he will give better marks. Now THIS!?!? Can a stupid ppl from the registrar hold a grudge against me and do this to me?! Where's the justice!?!
Damn school... after I graduate from the stupid school, I'm going to report it to the authorities and public on what a damn unfair and rude school it is. Cheap, no civilization, no proper teaching, no proper manners and a bloody damn stupid grading system they have! Ptui!! I spit on all those unjustice and bias teachers!!! >(

The first question here is, is she obliged or authorised to send letters to student regarding a new semester and/or fee payments....? Check your college guidelines on these matters... Normally the fees are outlined on course prospectus and/or upon registration to prevent unnecessary changes to the fee structure (and if it does happen during your course, you are not to be affected by the updated fees).
However, you must know that it is your responsibility to find out the semester dates yourself, not relying on college officials contacting hundreds, perhaps thousands of students just for a simple matter....
I'm sure your college has bulletins or newsboards of some sort....
Nope, the board only writes the timetable when it STARTS, but its too late for me then... And yes, it is her RESPONSIBILITY to send the letter to me, like normal other school does... but she just dont 'feel' like it... stupid admin old woman!
nope.... some schools don't send letters unless it's e-mails or something.... snail mail, not reliable....
And btw, you did mention that the first time they sent you a letter, you didn't bother to attend that semester. So it's perfectly clear (to them) that you should be the one who's asking for fees and the subsequent semester commencement date. Imagine if everytime they call, only to had their offer turned down again and again because students are either incompetent or have no further interests in their registered course. It would be a waste of their time and resources, wouldn't it.....? You turned them down once, remember...?
You should be grateful your school admin called you up just to inform you about the commencement date. And now you purposely asked them to send a letter just to inform you about these, of course they'll say no. Where's the logic...? By right, you should be the one who's walking towards them and asked for the semester date and fee details. Because it's your perogative to study, and hence you decide on your own pace. Don't think for one second that you're paying for them, that they should babysit you. Nope, the world doesn't revolve this way....
wth... those works should be done by the admin! if they dont do it, who should?! it's lucky that i stay near the school, but what if a person from malacca want to study there? he needs to fly all over to KL MIA to ask for the godamn bill and fly back to Malacca and give it to their parents? of course no! sending by snail mail or email also works, but they dont send neither! thats called bad administration works, damn lazy they are!!
if i turn them down once means forever? do they have the right to neglect me forever because i rejected them once? no! the customer is always right, and i didnt do anything wrong cause i really cant go, so of course i decline. takkan i accept, eventhough i cant?!?
Actually, they have the rights to neglect you, because you gave them the falsely impression, and yet it's an unpaid semester by the way (and from my experience, tertiary truancy is higher than in secondary schools). So why would they care when they can just fit in another student who had duly paid his/her fees....? It's all about making money (and don't give me that bullcrap that priorities of such institutions are education, it doesn't exist in Malaysia AFAIK). And no, customers/consumers are not always right. This is always the wrong impression ppl tend to believe in that they always have the rights. If so, then what's the purpose of the terms and agreements (private institutions always have this) that you first agreed upon when you first signed up.
You may be right that your school is at fault, particularly for those who lives far away, but your residence is so close by and of convenience, so there's no reason for you not going to school to find out such simple matters. Even a simple call would do. And yet you expect everything to be done for you....?
And for the record, I don't see how this really fits your example of a far away student, as you've said, students should collect their course bills once (or prior to) the semester commences, so my question is, would an outstation student be retuning to his/her hometown (after collecting the bill) when the semester is due to begin..? Your example is flawed...
spelling mistake on 3rd paragraph, fourth sentence *returning...
yala, the school should inform the parents when and how much the fees are, BEFORE the school starts... if they dont, how could they give the money to their children? so of course they should send it to their homes, even TARC like that la. dont tell me ur school need you to go get the bill yourself, THEN only give ur parents...?
Nope, my school doesn't accustom to bills. We have our payment plans laid out at time of registration, so we know when and how much to pay, whether it's monthly or by semester. So there's no reason for us to skip payment.
In your case, there are many ways to which parents can send money to their children, of coz there's no need to "balik kampung" and "minta duit sedekah erm, sorry - sekolah". That's what banks and postal systems are for. Especially when it involves at outstation student, parents will have no worries about oversending payments, as they can be used for lodgings or something else.
And no, TARC doesn't send bills. Students are required to get it directly from class reps or school admins, therefore your example is once again, flawed. TARC only send results to students' home; and that's only a result transcript for parents. Students are still required to check the relevant news bulletin about their result updates. You're a former TARCian, already forgotten that...?
You've been spoon-fed too much.
ok, so tarc u get it from their class rep, but MY school send it to their parent's home. if they dont send it as supposed to, and i get it from the registrar which is normally MIA students dont, are you saying i should be doing the right thing, which is WRONG?
well, if i am spoon fed too much, maybe you are too? u think too big of urself la dude... -_-;
Wow...! What an attitude....
You didn't say it was a policy by your school to send it to your parents' home (or was it a policy, or your wonderfully big but wrongful perception?). That's where you're misleading me and the rest of those who read your blog.... But they did send it to you right....; by calling you....? Let me get this straight, remember when I say that you declined their offer to the next semester in the first place, because you're not ready...? So they have to assume you deferred your course.... read "deferred".... In this case, it is you who should be going after them, not the other way round. Because if it does, you'll be thinking that they'll be pestering you for wanting your money instead.... simple case right...?
Where is the logic of having them sending you bills each time you want to defer your course further, they can't read your mind, can they...? That's when I said earlier, you set your pace in your studies, therefore you need to inform them when you want to continue, else sending you the bill everytime without knowing if you still want to further deferring your course will be a waste of time and resources.... Now tell me, which part of them is wrong...? Analyse yourself....
Am I thinking too big of myself, no. It is you.... why...?
1. Your blog entry on May 24th, "My Blog, My Rules"
If you think you have the right to everything, might as well shut off the comments section. Simple as that. Blunder yourself away without having to worry about what other ppl say....
2. Customers are right, service providers are wrong.
Then you are totally wrong.... If I am the administrator of MIA, I'd rather refund your fees and throw you out of the school. So do you think you're still right now giving that you lose the battle with MIA...? You may save your penny, but you wasted your time..... you ain't young anymore...
Read their terms and agreement if you will. There might be changes that you were not aware of when you deferred your course.
So who's thinking big now....?
I had enough of war of words with you, if you're not willing to accept criticism, God help you, you're not ready to face the harsh reality of this world.
bye bye.....
they DONT send me the bill everytime the semester occurs. they only send it AFTER i write a letter asking for it.
omg... talking with you is like talking with jimmy, always find a way to counter back my words. i cant blame you cause you are not me, so you may think otherwise. but dude, dont so easy say ppl spoon fed la... like u also not pula, swt. nobody is perfect, not u or me. ur comments are always like that, ALL are critism or MOST are.
ok, thread close. no more debating here. i hate debates... -_-; dont put anymore comments here, EVERYONE. ty...
